DETROIT (AP) — Marc Brown scored 22 points on 9-for-10 shooting, sinking all three of his shots from beyond the arc, to lead Illinois-Chicago past Detroit for an 83-73 win Sunday.

Jay Harris contributed 19 points, Paris Burns added 18 with five assists, and Markese McGuire had 14 points as UIC (6-19, 2-8 Horizon) shot 58.7 percent on 46 attempts from the floor, including 12 of 22 from long range, to snap an eight-game skid.

UIC led most of the game but Detroit (11-15, 4-7) edged ahead midway through the second half with back-to-back buckets from Jarod Williams to make it 63-58 with 8:31 to go. Brown then sank a 3-pointer at the other end to ignite a 14-1 run that gave UIC the lead for good.

Williams had a career-high 18 points for Detroit, which shot 53.8 percent. Juwan Howard Jr. also had 18, Paris Bass and Jaleel Hogan had 12 apiece.
