Quinnipiac cruises to 91-69 win over Niagara

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Evan Conti sank five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to lead Quinnipiac to a 91-69 win over Niagara on Sunday.

Conti, who missed just two shots from beyond the arc, also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out six assists. Justin Harris added 15 points, James Ford Jr. had 11 and Zaid Hearst 10 for Quinnipiac (13-10, 7-7 Metro Atlantic), which shot 54.4 percent on 68 attempts from the floor and never trailed.

The Bobcats opened with a 10-0 burst and carried a 36-19 advantage into the break. Midway through the second half, Quinnipiac twice extended its lead to 33 points, first on a 3-pointer from Ayron Hutton that made it 66-33 and again with a bucket less than three minutes later from Samuel Dingba to make it 74-41 with 8:35 left.

Emile Blackman led Niagara (4-19, 3-11) with a career-high 32 points and Matt Scott added 13.
