MINDEN, Nev. (AP) — A 50-year-old woman has been convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of her husband at Lake Tahoe.

A Douglas District Court jury on Thursday night found Tatiana Leibel guilty in the February 2014 death of her 64-year-old husband, Harry Leibel.

The Nevada Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/1AHyHz5 ) she did not testify during the two-week trial. She is from Russia and had the proceedings translated.

She told investigators she argued with her husband over a trip she wanted to take to Southern California to visit her daughter before he was fatally shot at their Zephyr Cove home.

Her attorney maintained Harry Leibel could have shot himself.

She awaits sentencing April 20.
