SUDELFELD, Germany (AP) — World champions Ester Ledecka of the Czech Republic and Andrey Sobolev of Russia both won snowboard World Cup parallel giant slalom events on Saturday.

Ledecka edged Switzerland's Julie Zogg by six hundredths of a second for her second World Cup win of the season and third overall.

Marion Kreiner of Austria defeated Tomoka Takeuchi of Japan in the small final to claim third place and the parallel giant slalom crystal globe. Kreiner also leads the overall standings ahead of Ledecka.

Dutch snowboarder Nicolien Sauerbreij, the 2010 Olympic champion, announced her retirement after finishing seventh.

Sobolev defeated Olympic champion and fellow Russian Vic Wild for his career's first World Cup win.

Zan Kosir of Slovenia finished third to maintain his overall World Cup lead.
