BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a dog in Boise. Authorities say when police arrived they found 29-year-old Mathew Bacon of Boise dead at the scene. Police say the owner of the dog took the dog to a veterinarian but it died of its injuries. Police say they received reports that the dog was not on a leash.

BELLEVUE, Idaho (AP) — State officials say food deprivation for two months at a central Idaho care facility for people with dementia led to weight loss averaging 22 pounds among seven residents checked.
