LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say at least one person is dead and several others are injured after a multiple-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in northwest Las Vegas.

Officer Jesse Roybal says the injured have been taken to hospitals with varying degrees of injuries, and investigators have closed the intersection at Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

The closure snarling rush-hour traffic in the area several blocks east of U.S. 95.
