WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Eric Laster scored 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field to lead Loyola (Md) to a 77-71 victory over Army on Saturday.
Franz Rassman finished with 18 points and Andre Walker added 12 points for Loyola (9-12, 5-5 Patriot League), which won for just the third time this season on the road.
Army led 32-29 at the break, but Loyola opened the second half on an 8-0 run to take the lead which it pushed to double digits on a Laster 3 with 10:16 left. The Black Knights (14-7, 5-5) battled back to within one late, but another Laster jumper put the game away.
The Greyhounds shot 50.8 percent from the field — their first time reaching the 50 percent mark all year — won the rebounding battle 41-26, and forced 15 Army turnovers.
Kyle Wilson led Army with 19 points.
