WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Kevin Ferguson scored 18 points and Army came back midway in the second half and held on to beat Boston University 71-67 on Thursday night.

BU led by as many as eight points in the first half and built a 37-32 halftime lead. Army chipped away, using an 18-9 surge to take its first lead of the second half, 56-54 with 6:08 left. BU's Nathan Dieudonne answered with a dunk to tie it at 56, but the Terriers couldn't push past.

Kyle Wilson's reverse slam gave the Cadets their largest lead, 66-60 with 1:03 left.

John Papale hit a 3 to pull BU within 69-67 with 8 seconds to go, but Larry Toomey made a pair of free throws to ice it for Army (14-6, 5-4 Patriot League), which has won three straight.

Eric Fanning scored a career-high 27 points for BU (8-12, 4-5).
