Stetson tops Northern Kentucky 85-75

DELAND, FLA. (AP) — Kentwan Smith and Divine Myles scored 20 points apiece and Stetson beat Northern Kentucky 85-75 on Thursday to snap a five-game losing streak.

Cameron Harvey scored 11, including three 3-pointers, Brian Pegg scored 10 with 11 rebounds, and Smith added 10 boards for the Hatters (6-15, 1-5 Atlantic Sun Conference).

Harvey scored three straight 3-pointers and Stetson led 21-10, then used a 10-1 run to lead 35-19. Harvey scored 11 in the half and the Hatters shot 51.7 percent en route to a 37-27 halftime lead.

Tyler White hit a 3 early in the second half to pull the Norse within 48-44, but Stetson pulled away. Smith scored seven points amid an 11-4 run and the Hatters led 72-62 with 5:08 left. Tayler Persons' 3 with 2:57 to go pulled the Norse within 76-71, but Northern Kentucky got no closer.

Cole Murray led the Norse (9-12, 3-3) with a career-high 26 points, Jalen Billups had 19 and Persons 12.
