BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Derrick Marks scored 26 of his 28 points in the second half and made the go-ahead 3-pointer as Boise State defeated Colorado State 82-78 on Wednesday.

Marks drained a 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining to cap a 7-0 burst as the Broncos (15-6, 5-3 Mountain West) won their fifth straight game. James Webb III had 15 second-half points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Mikey Thompson scored all 14 of his points in the first half and Igor Hadziomerovic added 10 points.

Daniel Bejarano scored 19 points for the Rams (18-3, 5-3), who had a four-game winning streak halted. Joe De Ciman scored 15 points, Stanton Kidd added 13, and J.J. Avila added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Colorado State led 73-68 when coach Larry Eustachy was called for a technical foul with 2:28 left for disputing a call. Marks made both foul shots, Rob Heyer's layup made it a one-point margin and Marks drained the go-ahead 3-pointer.

The momentum remained with Boise State down the stretch and Marks was 5 of 6 from the free-throw line over the final 40 seconds to seal it.

The Broncos were down by double digits in the second half but stayed in range of the Rams with their long-range marksmanship. Boise State was 9 of 12 from behind the arc in the second half and finished 12 of 22, which offset a rebounding shortage as Colorado State grabbed 15 offensive boards and posted a 39-27 advantage.

The Rams led by 10 at halftime and stretched the lead to 12 but couldn't gain further separation. Webb made three 3-pointers in a span of 3 ½ minutes to keep the Broncos within nine.

The long-range barrage continued with Nick Duncan knocking down two straight and Hadziomerovic draining another to bring Boise State within 55-51 with 11:27 remaining. The Rams led 70-63 after a 3-pointer by Kidd with 5:24 left before Marks scored the next five points.

Bejarano hit a 3-pointer to increase Colorado State's lead to 73-68 with 3:13 left but Avila was called off an offensive foul and Eustachy's technical fueled Boise State's late-game charge.

In the first half, Thompson scored nine points over the first four-plus minutes to help Boise State take an 11-3 lead. The Rams bounced back with a 10-2 burst, capped by 3-pointers from Kidd and John Gillon, to tie it at 13 with 11:39 left in the half.

Colorado State trailed by five later in the half before Bejarano scored nine points during an 11-0 run as the Rams took a 28-22 advantage with 5:24 remaining. The Broncos quickly ran off six straight to tie it before Colorado State went on a half-ending 12-2 tear to take a 40-30 lead into the break.
