FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) — Pinal County authorities say a fifth person has been confirmed as having the measles, but the adult man is recovering.
Meanwhile, Maricopa County health officials confirm an adult woman is its second measles case and may have exposed people at the Phoenix Children's East Valley Center from Jan. 20-21.
They say the unidentified woman had contact with four members of a Kearny-area family who tested positive for measles and likely are linked to last month's outbreak in Southern California.
The unidentified Pinal County man also came in contact with the family and visited six public locations in Kearny on Jan. 22-23.
An outbreak of measles that originated at Disneyland last month reportedly has sickened some six dozen people — most of them unvaccinated — in several states and Mexico.
