WASHINGTON (AP) — Tanner Plomb made 6 of 9 3-pointers and scored 26, and Dylan Cox hit the go-ahead jumper with four seconds left to help Army slip past American University 68-66 on Monday night.

A layup by Marko Vasic gave American (11-9, 4-4 Patriot League) a 66-61 lead with 1:45 remaining.

Cox made a layup and, after a back-court violation by American, Plomb knocked down a 3 to tie it with 1:14 to go.

Vasic missed a layup on the other end and Plomb grabbed the rebound, setting up Cox's game-winner.

Charlie Jones missed a potential winning 3 as time expired.

Kyle Wilson scored 16 and Kevin Ferguson added 14 for Army (13-6, 4-4), which improved to 5-0 in game decided by three points or less.

John Schoof led the Eagles with 17 points, Jones added 12 and Jesse Reed had 10 to go with eight rebounds.
