OPRAH has talked Harper Lee, author of the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," into writing again.
In a letter for "O" magazine's July "special summer reading issue," the 80-year-old Lee tells of how she became a reader before first grade. She says she was read to regularly by her older sisters and brother, a story a day by her mother and newspaper articles by her father.
Lee publishes so rarely that nothing new has been seen from the famous southern author since a 1983 book review.
