SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Keon Lewis had 16 points, seven assists and three steals to help UTSA roll to a 77-57 victory over Southern Mississippi on Thursday night.

Lewis made 6 of 9 shots, including 3 of 5 from long range. Ryan Bowie hit five 3-pointers to total 15 points, Kaj-Björn Sherman scored 14 points and Jeromie Hill chipped in 10 for UTSA (7-6, 2-1 Conference USA).

The Roadrunners opened with a 12-0 run to build a 44-32 halftime lead, and a 10-2 surge stretched the lead to 54-34 with 16:59 remaining.

UTSA shot 27 of 48 from the field and made 13 of 25 treys (52 percent).

Chip Armelin scored 19 points, Norville Carey 16 and Matt Bingaya 12 for Southern Mississippi (5-8, 0-2). Armelin and Bingaya had four steals apiece for the Golden Eagles.
