BALTIMORE (AP) — Kyle Wilson scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Army to a 77-53 win over Loyola Maryland on Saturday.

Dylan Cox added 14 points, while Kevin Ferguson hauled in 11 rebounds and Tanner Plomb snagged 10 for Army (10-3, 1-1 Patriot League), which is off to its best overall start since the 1978-79 season.

The Black Knights broke it open with a 17-2 run midway through the second half sparked by Mac Hoffman's three-point play and capped with back-to-back 3s from Nathan Dodge to make it 63-45 with 8:48 to go. The margin never fell below double figures the rest of the way.

Earlier in the half, Loyola (4-9, 0-2) snagged the lead with a 7-0 burst capped by Cam Gregory's layup to make 41-40, but Luke Morrison's layup at the other end put Army back on top for good.

Tyler Hubbard led Loyola with 14 points.
