NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Zeek Woodley scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Northwestern State to a 94-68 win over Division III Louisiana College on Wednesday.
Marvin Frazier added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Demons (5-6). Jalan West had 11 points and nine assists. The team sank 44.4 percent from the field, 73.9 percent from the free-throw line and outrebounded Louisiana College 52-37.
Northwestern State went ahead 17-7 on a Matt Killian layup early in the first period and led 51-35 at the break.
In the second half, Anthony Gaines Jr. tried to rally the Wildcats with a pair of dunks midway but Louisiana College could not get closer than 12 points and the Demons sailed to the win.
Gaines led the Wildcats with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
