SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Highway Patrol says a pickup truck traveling the wrong way on State Road 201 near Manga hit a car head-on early today, killing two people. The Salt Lake Tribune reports both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A former TV pitchman accused of kicking an owl while riding his motorized paraglider says he'll allow authorities to search his home for guns as a condition of his pretrial release. But Dell "Super Dell" Schanze (SHAHN'-zee) called the inspection unconstitutional and says he feels exposed without his weapons.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A teenager accused of bringing a loaded gun to Fremont High School in Plain City has been charged with four misdemeanor weapons violations. Authorities say the 16-year-old planned to shoot a former girlfriend and others on Dec. 1. Messages left with prosecutors weren't immediately returned.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Prosecutors have filed charges against a 31-year-old West Valley City man in a fatal drug-related shooting earlier this month. Prosecutors say Richard Warner shot Zelaya Zunga Dec. 19 as Warner and a friend were looking to buy drugs in downtown Salt Lake City.
