Utah Valley cruises to 83-50 win over Bristol

OREM, Utah (AP) — Mitch Bruneel pumped in 20 points, hauled in eight rebounds and helped lead Utah Valley to an 83-50 win over Bristol on Tuesday night.

Donte Williams added 13 points and Jaden Jackson had nine for Utah Valley (5-8), which shot 50 percent from the floor and held a 51-25 rebounding advantage.

The Wolverines took control midway through opening half with a go-ahead 3-pointer from Jackson that made it 13-12 and sparked a 28-6 run. Taking a 40-24 lead into the break, Utah Valley continued to pull away in the second half and held Bristol to just 18-for-54 shooting overall.

Bristol, a member of the small United States Collegiate Athletic Association playing its inaugural season in college sports, hase lost to all three NCAA Division I teams they've faced this year. Tade Keshishyan led the Bears with 12 points, while Alex Mendiola added 11.
