BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State senior Anthony Drmic is scheduled to have surgery next week on his left ankle and miss the rest of the basketball season.

The 6-foot-6 guard and forward averaged 15 points a game in the first seven games of the season and has 1,528 in his career, sixth all-time on the team.

Coach Leon Rice tells the Idaho Statesman (http://bit.ly/1A8JJKH) in a story on Tuesday that the team expects to get a medical redshirt for Drmic once the season is finished.

That means Drmic could play the 2015-16 season.

The Broncos are 10-3 and play at Colorado State on Wednesday.
