STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Victoria Vivians scored 16 points with nine rebounds and Breanna Richardson added 14 points as unbeaten No. 17 Mississippi State stormed past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 83-26 on Monday night.

On the eve of their Southeastern Conference home opener on Friday against 19th-ranked Georgia, the Bulldogs (15-0) rose to a perfect 10-0 at Humphrey Coliseum and are off to the best start in school history. They racked up a 10-point lead less than five minutes into the game and outscored the Golden Lions (2-9) 40-9 at halftime.

Kendra Grant scored 12 for Mississippi State, and the Bulldogs tied a season high with 10 blocked shots, Martha Alwal swatting five. The nine points at halftime was second-fewest ever allowed.

Destiny Ham and Ajia Richardson each scored seven for the Golden Lions, who made 9 of 59 shots with 33 turnovers.

Mississippi State completed an undefeated pre-conference slate for only the second time.
