CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a missing cruise ship worker has washed up on a Florida beach.

Clearwater Police said in a news release that the body of 27-year-old Cliford B. Minej was found Friday morning.

The Thane, India, man had worked on a Holland America Line cruise ship that came to port in Tampa on Sunday.

Police believe Minej jumped or fell off the ship near Egmont Key last week, and the Coast Guard had been searching Tampa Bay-area waters. Clearwater is about 20 miles away.

The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death accidental.
