MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — A Florida man was arrested In Meridian after leading police on a chase.
The Idaho Press Tribune reports (http://is.gd/sO5ABT ) the chase began on Tuesday evening after Meridian police received a report of a possible drunk driver in the drive thru at a McDonald's restaurant
Officers found 38-year-old Michael Angelo Sapp in the parking lot. They say he failed to stop for patrol cars and instead led them on a chase that reached speeds of more than 90 miles per hour.
He was stopped and arrested in a field on the west side of Meridian Road. Officers say they found a pistol, nearly $4,000 in cash and 7 ounces of methamphetamine in Sapp's vehicle.
Sapp was transported to St. Luke's in Meridian before he was booked into the Ada County Jail on charges including felony eluding, trafficking in methamphetamine and driving under the influence.
