Officials with Silverwing at Sandpoint sued the county in May 2012 contending they hadn't been treated fairly. But last month a federal judge eliminated most of Silverwing's claims.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho's population has jumped to 1.63 million with the addition of 21,000 new residents in the last year. The U.S. Census Bureau pegged Idaho's population growth as measured in mid-2014 at just over 1.3 percent, ninth strongest in the nation. Nationally, the population grew 0.7 percent.

KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) — A central Idaho bus service plans to offer free late-night rides in the Ketchum and Sun Valley areas starting tomorrow. The Idaho Mountain Express reports that Mountain Rides Transportation Authority's "Night Owl" service will run until the bars close at 2 in the morning. The city of Ketchum is paying $15,000 for the bus service in the ski and resort area that draws many tourists during the holiday season.
