LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (AP) — An animal shelter in Kanab says it will take in a dog from Indiana that faced possibly being euthanized and its cremated ashes being mixed with those of its late owner. Connie Ley (lay) of Aurora, Indiana, died in November and her attorney said her will stipulates that her German shepherd named Bela (BAY'-luh) either go to the Best Friends Animal Society no-kill sanctuary near Kanab, Utah, or be euthanized.

BOSTON (AP) — A man who police say fell naked through the ceiling of a women's bathroom at the Boston airport and then assaulted an elderly man will not be going home to Utah for the holidays. A judge refused to lift home confinement for 26-year-old Cameron Shenk. The Harvard Extension School student said he wanted to spend Christmas with his family.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Travelers leaving their cars at Salt Lake City International Airport need to be extra alert to catch a new entrance to the airport's economy parking lot. Airport officials say the new entrance requires drivers to make a left turn off the airport entry road much sooner than before. The lot costs up to $9 a day.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say they've arrested a man suspected of shooting at a Utah state trooper last week. The Utah Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Damien Williams was arrested after a police chase that ended in a crash. Williams' friends told police he bragged about the shooting. The trooper wasn't hit in the shooting on Friday.
