TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed left-hander Scott Barnes off waivers from the Texas Rangers and righty Preston Guilmet from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Barnes was 0-1 with a 5.20 ERA and a save over 22 appearances with the Rangers last season.

Guilmet was 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA over 10 games with the Pirates.

The Blue Jays made the moves Tuesday, and they now have 40 players on their major league roster.
