MORAGA, Calif. (AP) — Aaron Bright scored seven of the Gaels' nine overtime points in giving Saint Mary's a 72-68 victory over Northeastern on Monday night.

Brad Waldow's bucket — the Gaels' only other points in the extra period — actually provided what proved to be the winning points before Bright finished the scoring with a pair of free throws with 18 seconds remaining. Northeastern didn't score over the final 3:38 of overtime after getting out to a 68-66 lead.

Zach Stahl scored for the Huskies (7-4) with 14 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Waldow finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds with Kerry Carter adding 17 points and Bright 16 for Saint Mary's (7-3).

Quincy Ford scored 18 points to lead Northeastern with T.J. Williams adding 13, Zach Stahl 12 and Scott Eatherton 11.
