NEW YORK (AP) — Emmy Andujar had 14 points and Manhattan erased an early deficit to beat Fordham 71-57 in the Battle of the Bronx at the Barclays Center on Monday night.
The Jaspers (4-7) opened the second half with a 22-5 run and extended a five-point halftime edge to their largest lead at 52-30. The Rams (3-6) closed within 62-53 with 1:33 left, but Manhattan made 9 of 10 free throws to finish.
Fordham scored 10 straight to open the game and led 16-4 before Manhattan answered with an 18-4 run to take the lead for good at 22-20.
Shane Richards was 4 of 6 from 3-point range and Ashton Pankey was 5 of 10 from the field — each finishing with 12 points for Manhattan.
Mandell Thomas had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for Fordham.
