WINCHESTER, Va. (AP) — Valley Health is limiting visiting hours at its facilities in Virginia and West Virginia due an increase in influenza.

Visiting hours will be limited to 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. No more than two visitors will be allowed at the same time, and visitors must be at least 18 years old.

The Winchester Star (http://bit.ly/16IyHC7 ) reports that the restricted hours begin Tuesday at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester Rehabilitation Center, Warren Memorial Hospital, Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and Page Memorial Hospital in Virginia. Restricted hours also begin Tuesday at Hampshire Memorial Hospital and War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.

A patient's spouse, parent or child may be exempted from the restrictions. Valley Health says exceptions also may be made for end-of-life situations or other extenuating circumstances.
