SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Alan Williams scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in just 23 minutes to lead UC Santa Barbara past NAIA San Diego Christian on Friday night.

Williams made 7 of 11 field goals and added four assists for UC Santa Barbara (5-5), which outrebounded San Diego Christian 46-30.

Rafael Rodriguez hit a 3-pointer 42 seconds into the game to give San Diego Christian a 3-2 lead, but the Gauchos responded with a 10-0 run, capped by a three-point play by Williams, and led the rest of the way.

San Diego Christian made just 6 of 27 (22.2 percent) field goals in the first half and trailed 34-18 at the break.

Michael Bryson scored 12, Gabe Vincent and John Green added 10 apiece for UCSB. Green tied his career high with eight rebounds.

Rodriguez made 4 of 7 3-pointers and led the Hawks with 15 points.
