COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed center Brian Gibbons on injured reserve and recalled center Alexander Wennberg and defenseman Cody Goloubef from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Goloubef was on a conditioning assignment after a knee injury. He had two penalty minutes in three games with the Blue Jackets before being injured Nov. 1.
Gibbons, who played last year for the Pittsburgh Penguins, suffered a knee injury in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Washington and is expected to miss two to three weeks. He has collected five assists in 21 games with the Blue Jackets.
Wennberg, a first-round pick and 14th overall in the 2013 draft, has three assists in 21 games for the Blue Jackets this year.
