CREVE COEUR, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in two areas of St. Louis County are investigating after students were caught with loaded guns at two different schools.
KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/1uSumjZ ) reports that a student at the private Whitfield School in Creve Coeur took a loaded pistol to class Tuesday, concealed in a backpack. Another student told school staff members, who took the gun until police arrived.
Police say the student did not brandish the gun or threaten anyone before being taken into custody.
In a separate incident, a student was found with a loaded gun at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. The male student was arrested after an administrator was told about the weapon. Further details were not released.
