EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County sheriff's office says a 14-year-old accidentally shot himself in the leg at Everett.
The boy is a student at Voyager Middle School. Deputies believe he skipped school Tuesday morning to go target shooting with friends.
A friend reported the shooting about 9:15 a.m. He told deputies the gun belongs to a parent.
The victim was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
