LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard officials say they plan to open for the season with a beginner slope at least, whether natural snow arrives or not.
Officials with the resort about an hour north of Las Vegas said Thursday that it would open by Saturday with limited terrain and offer scenic views on round-trip chair lift rides.
It's been a warm winter and the ski resort's opening has been pushed back at least twice while it waited for snow to arrive. The resort prepped by borrowing snow-makers from nearby Utah resorts.
In years past, Las Vegas Ski has opened as early as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
