UNC Greensboro holds off Greensboro College 82-78

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Tevon Saddler scored 24 points and Nicholas Paulos added 19 to help UNC Greensboro beat crosstown foe Greensboro College 82-78 on Wednesday.

Greensboro College's Raheem Martin hit the first of two free throws to knot the game at 75. UNCG's Paulos converted a three-point play and later Diante Baldwin hit two free throws for an 80-75 lead. Greensboro got within 80-78 after three free throws with 21 second left, but Saddler sealed it with two makes from the line.

Baldwin and Jordy Kuiper had 11 apiece for UNC Greensboro (3-6) and RJ White added 10 with eight rebounds. The Spartans held a 40-29 advantage on the glass.

Saddler had 16 points in the first half of the 41-all game.

Devan Gregory led Greensboro College (3-3) with 27 points and Simeon Howard added 21. Gregory was 5 of 8 from 3-point range and Howard hit four more to help the Pride finish 12 of 24.
