GOLDSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Officials in Wayne County say a 15-year-old high school student was hit with a stun gun during a fight and was among three students charged.
Multiple media outlets report that sheriff's deputies say they were called to a wing of Charles B. Aycock High School on Wednesday. When they arrived, they saw two students involved in a fight.
One deputy ordered the student to stop the assault, but he refused and then attacked another student. After more commands from the deputy, the 15-year-old was hit.
The student is charged in a juvenile petition for engaging in an affray and communication of a threat. Deputies say the communicating charge resulted from a threat made on the vice principal.
Two other students are also charged in connection with the fight.
