GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers remain atop the NFC North at 9-3 after ending the New England Patriots' seven-game winning streak. Aaron Rodgers threw for 368 yards, no interceptions and a pair of first-half touchdowns as the Packers downed the Pats 26-21. Eddie Lacy ran for 98 yards and had key carries while Green Bay was trying to kill the clock in the fourth quarter.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — C.J. Anderson ran for 168 yards and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass as Denver knocked off Kansas City 29-16. Peyton Manning was just 17 of 34 for 179 yards, but he also threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions as the 9-3 Broncos kept sole possession of the AFC West lead, one game ahead of San Diego. Alex Smith threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns for the 7-5 Chiefs, who are two games off the division lead.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say missing Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge (KOH'-stah KAHR'-ah-johrj) has been found dead, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police tell media outlets Karageorge was found near campus Sunday. The senior defensive tackle was last seen at his apartment in Columbus early Wednesday, when his roommates said he left to go on a walk.
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska is looking for a new football coach after dismissing Bo Pelini. He won at least nine games in each of his seven seasons with the Huskers and was 66-27 with three conference title game appearances in the Big 12 and Big 10. But Pelini never won a conference championship, and his teams lost four games in every season he completed.
BOSTON (AP) — Head coach Gregg Popovich was back on the bench for San Antonio's 111-89 win over Boston this afternoon. Popovich returned for the opener of a four-game road trip after missing two games following an undisclosed minor medical procedure. Danny Green scored 18 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to their seventh straight victory.
