Torgersen, Kulcsar lead Penn past Cornell 34-26

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Alek Torgersen threw for 331 yards and connected with Spencer Kulcsar three times for touchdowns as Pennsylvania defeated Cornell 34-26 in the season finale for both teams on Saturday.

Kulcsar finished with 11 receptions for 187 yards. Torgersen was 26 of 37 and also rushed for 86 yards and a score.

Torgersen's 78-yard strike to Kulcsar in the third quarter put Penn (2-8, 2-5 Ivy) up by 10. Brian Schoenauer's 1-yard touchdown run made it 34-18 with 7:53 left.

Robert Somborn threw a 3-yard score to Matt Sullivan and a successful two-point conversion made it an eight-point game. Cornell (1-9, 1-6) got the ball back with less than a minute left, but their drive stalled on downs near midfield.

Torgersen also had touchdown passes of 4 and 7 yards to Kulcsar along with a 1-yard run that made it 21-18 after a back-and-forth first half that saw six lead changes.
