TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho man cleaning human remains from a home that police believe is the scene of a double homicide and suicide is accused of stealing items from the home.

The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/1xzSK0s) that 65-year-old William C. Green was charged Monday in 5th District Court with felony burglary and misdemeanor obstructing officers.

Authorities say 36-year-old George Salinas likely killed 38-year-old LeAnn Schuldies and her 17-year-old daughter, Brianna Cox, before killing himself on Saturday. Police said Schuldies and her daughter were moving out when they were killed. Four younger children survived.

Green on Sunday was cleaning the home, authorities said, but had in his pickup items not on a list of contaminated possessions being removed, including a Keurig coffee maker, tools and food.

Twin Falls County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Bratt responded after Salinas' mother reported that a man was taking items from the home. Police said Green was there to clean the house, but Bratt became concerned because Green was wearing a camouflage jumpsuit instead of a biohazard suit. Green did have his employer's contact information, however.

"I briefly talked to Green some more and pointedly asked him if I was going to find human matter on the coffee maker inside the cab of his truck," Bratt wrote in his report. "Green hesitated, staring at the hood of his truck, then looked at me and answered 'probably not.'"

Police also said that Green had in his truck plates and silverware, as well as bags of frozen orange juice, salmon, hamburger, corn and salami. Police said Green told police the food belonged to him.

The pickup also contained tools, and a ladder with the name of one of the victims. Green initially said the ladder belonged to him, police said.

A preliminary hearing on the burglary charge is set for Nov. 28.
