LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada prison officials have identified an inmate from the state women's prison who died at a Las Vegas hospital as 58-year-old Denise Lee Ellen Carlson.
The Nevada Department of Corrections says Carlson was being treated for an unspecified medical condition when she died Oct. 30 at Summerlin Hospital.
A department statement issued Thursday says prison officials were unable to locate and notify any family members.
Carlson arrived in May at the Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center in Las Vegas after she was convicted in Washoe County District Court.
She was serving two to five years for driving under the influence plus up to 32 months for attempted injury to property.
