DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Joe Talamo notched his 1,500th career victory in the fourth race at Del Mar and then led all the way aboard Demonica to win the $58,000 feature for older fillies and mares by 1 3/4 lengths on Thursday.

The 24-year-old jockey achieved the career milestone on 7-1 longshot Ol' Fashion Girl, who paid $16.80 to win.

In the feature, Demonica ran 1 1/16 miles on the turf in 1:42.51 and paid $6.80, $4.20 and $3.60 for her second win in five career starts.

Frandontjudge returned $12.20 and $7 at 15-1 odds, while Market Quote was another neck back in third and paid $3.60 to show.

Talamo returned Thursday after serving a three-day suspension, which forced him to miss the first three days of the fall meet.
