NEW YORK (AP) — Bohemian Dance held on by a neck over Principessa Ava on Thursday in the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares on the turf at Aqueduct.
The 4-year-old trained by Michael Dilger took advantage of a slow pace to get her third win in 11 starts. Joel Rosario sent Bohemian Dance to the lead and she set the fractions in the 1 1/8-mile race run in 1:54.45, more than seven seconds off the course record.
Bohemian Dancer paid $9.20, $5.70 and $4 as the 7-2 third choice. Principessa Ava returned $8.90 and $8.30 while Premium, the 5-2 favorite, paid $3.30 to show.
