COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — State officials are looking for Ohio companies that want to improve their export opportunities while training college students in international business.
The Ohio Export Internship Program is a partnership between the state's Development Services Agency and the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University.
The program matches students with companies that want to market their products to the world. It provides a 50 percent reimbursement for intern wages.
About 50 students will be selected for next year's program, including 10 students from Youngstown State University.
State officials say in the program's first three years, 60 student-company matches were created, resulting in more than $11 million in expected global sales and three full-time job offers.
The deadline for companies to apply for the program is Dec. 10.
