KELOWNA, British Columbia (AP) — Russia's Anna Pogorilaya won the women's short program Friday night at Skate Canada International, and Spain's Javier Fernandez topped the men's field.

Canada's Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford led in pairs, and teammates Canada's Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje topped the ice dance standings.

Pogorilaya had 65.28 points. American Ashley Wagner was second with 63.86.

Fernandez landed a quadruple Salchow to open his program, but doubled his planned triple Axel and finished with 86.36 points. Japan's Takahito Mura was second at 82.57.

Duhamel and Radford scored 72.70 points. China's Sui Wenjing and Han Cong were second with 65.22.
