TOOELE, Utah (AP) -- Jake Zemke won the second leg of the A-M-A Superbike Championship weekend doubleheader at Miller Motorsports Park today.
With the victory, the Honda rider ended Suzuki's 14-race winning streak dating to August 2005.
Series leader Ben Spies had a three-second lead on his Suzuki when the race was stopped due to oil on the track. On the restart Suzukis Mat Mladin led for eight laps before being passed by Zemke with five laps to go.
Zemke went on to win the race by four-point-134 seconds over Mladin. Spies was third and remains the series leader.
It marked the first victory for Honda in the series since 2004 and Zemkes first win in nearly two years.
