MELBOURNE, Jun 20, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- An Australian woman accused of killing her estranged husband for his money says their children will get his entire estate.

In an interview with the Melbourne Herald-Sun, Diane Griffey said that everything she and her husband did was for the children.

Griffey, who denies killing her husband, is free on bail. His body was found Jan. 2 in the garage of their house.

The couple had been separated for three years at the time.

Michael Griffey had $2.4 million ($1.78 million U.S.) in assets at the time of his death, including a half-share in the house. He also had significant mortgage and credit-card debt.

A will left everything to his wife, who resigned as executor of his estate a month ago.

"Everything we worked for the last 22 years was for our family and for our future," she said. "The basic fact is our money or our personal property was to go to the future of our children. If anything happened, Michael and I had an agreement everything was to go to the children."
