SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Casey Smith, Tommy Murphy and Mike Eylward each went 2-for-4 in leading the Salt Lake Bees to a 4-to-3 victory over the visiting Las Vegas 51s last night. Designated hitter Edwin Bellorin when 2-for-3 for the 51s with a solo home run. Dustin Moseley went the distance for the Bees, giving up eight hits and walking one while striking out five.
Sunday's Game
Howie Kendrick went for 3-for-5 with two triples and one home run as the Salt Lake Bees defeated the Las Vegas 51s 8-to-5 yesterday. Reggie Willits also had a home run for the Bees. James Loney, Delwyn Young and Eric Riggs each homered for the 51s. Jeff Heaverlo pitched two innings in relief and picked up the win. He gave up one hit and struck out two.
