Operation Bald Eagle is a charity that believes in serving those who protect our communities and our country. Whether that be law enforcement, firefighters, or military families.
This year marks the 5th year of Thanksgiving Dinners for Heroes. Jeffrey Mitchell with Operation Bald Eagle says it's a way to help the families of those serving in the military and in our community.
Nanette Wride, the widow of Sgt. Cory Wride who was shot and killed while on duty as a Utah County sheriff's deputy. She's partnering with Operation Bald Eagle. She says their support after that tragedy really helped.
"Charities like this are huge," Wride says. "It's a huge resource for the families."
For the next two weekends, Operation Bald Eagle will be at the Macey's in Spanish Fork collecting Thanksgiving dinner items. You can donate there, or you can also help by donating time to the cause.
