CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — Australia's prime minister says his country's air force will begin launching airstrikes in Iraq against Islamic State targets. Prime Minister Tony Abbot says the group "must be disrupted and degraded at home and abroad." Australia already has six warplanes --- F/A-18F Super Hornets -- that were pre-deployed to the United Arab Emirates more than two weeks ago.

The move is intended to support Vietnam's ability to defend itself in the South China Sea. It's among Asian nations facing an increasingly assertive China.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — JPMorgan Chase says a recent cyberattack compromised customer information for about 76 million households and 7 million small businesses. According to a regulatory filing, the stolen formation includes names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. But JPMorgan says there's no evidence that the data breach included customers' account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers or dates of birth.
