NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee will soon have a new Teacher of the Year.

State Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman is scheduled to attend a ceremony in Nashville on Thursday to name the 2014-15 Teacher of the Year from nine finalists. Grand Division winners will also be announced.

The Teacher of the Year will go on to represent the state in the National Teacher of the Year competition and serve as an ambassador for education.
