NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Here's a look at changes in enrollment at Illinois' public universities from fall 2013 to fall 2014. The numbers were compiled by The (Bloomington) Pantagraph based on information from campus admissions offices. Public universities in Illinois are increasingly finding themselves competing for students.

Chicago State:

2013: 5,701

2014: 5,211

Change: -8.6 percent

Eastern:

2013: 9,775

2014: 8,913

Change: -8.9 percent

Governors State:

2013: 5,568

2014: 5,776

Change: +3.9 percent

Illinois State:

2013: 20,272

2014: 20,615

Change: +1.7 percent

Northeastern:

2013: 10,821

2014: 10,275

Change: -5 percent

Northern:

2013: 21,138

Change: -2.5 percent

Southern Illinois University-Carbondale:

2013: 17,964

Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville:
